Goodbye to the Americas, hello America!

Sylvie returned from her performances in Cartagena,Colombia with a slew of triumphant reviews and articles. There were reviews and interviews in all the major newspapers -  twice in El Tiempo, twice in El Universal, El Espectador - as well as in the cultural magazine Arcadia and the Colombian airlines magazine Copa: Panorama, which ran a five page feature on Sylvie in Spanish and English. Sylvie also spoke and played on Colombian television (the photo is of her being interviewed by the TV presenter in a confession box!) and was  interviewed at length on her career on Colombian radio W. She's been invited back to the country to perform again, this time in Bogota later in the Spring.10941038_10153546802214377_244305707169679612_nSylvie has just completed a West Coast US tour, performing as a duo with British singer-songwriter Jason McNiff: six concerts and six live radio sessions in just  one week  - from the Bay Area, via Davis and Sacramento, to Reno, Nevada.Davis with JasonThis week, in San Francisco, she has two free-admission Leonard Cohen events - reading and singing his songs at the Northwest Regional Library in Santa Rosa  and, on Tuesday, at the Jewish Community Library, where tickets are going fast!If you prefer to catch her singing her own songs, Sylvie will be opening for Sweet Chariot at the MakeOut Room on Friday - an early show, she goes on at 6pm.
