Make Out Room

Last night I was onstage at the Make Out Room in San Francisco reading from the updated US edition of my Leonard Cohen book. It was a part of an event for Litquake, an annual literary festival, that also featured my music journalist friends Ben Fong-Torres and Joel Selvin.

The Make Out Room is one of my favourite San Francisco haunts. The last time I was there was towards the end of the lockdown, when I sang my song "Sweet California", with Brad Brooks on keyboards, to an imaginary audience.
