Interviewing Sylvie - Blue on Blue
I've done a whole bunch of interviews about my new album. One of these took up four-pages in the Winter 2020 edition of Ukulele magazine. I don't often talk about the accident I had in 2017 after my first day in the studio recording Blue on Blue and all the surgeries I had to have on my wrist and hand. But I really like Ukulele magazine and the editor persuaded me that it might help ukulele players with injuries or disabilities. The San Francisco Chronicle - my local newspaper these days - also ran an in-depth interview. You can read it here: https://datebook.sfchronicle.com/music/sf-musician-leonard-cohen-biographer-sylvie-simmons-back-with-her-own-second-album
This is an interview that Glide magazine did with me, to mark the release of my third single, "The Thing They Don't Tell You About Girls". https://glidemagazine.com/247574/video-premiere-singer-songwriter-renowned-journalist-sylvie-simmons-dazzles-on-the-things-they-dont-tell-you-about-girls/
I enjoyed being interviewed by poet Noah Lekas for the cool ezine Aquarium Drunkard https://tinyurl.com/yygubdpo.
And also by Dale Nickey at The Muse Patrol. https://themusepatrol.com/2020/08/19/sylvie-simmons-the-muse-patrol-interview-part-1/
I've also done a number of interviews published in France, Greece and the Czech Republic. One of my favourites so far is this French-language interview with my friend, the French rock writer Cedric Rassat. https://section-26.fr/sylvie-simmons-les-mots-bleus/
