Folk Festival

Just got back home from the Calgary Folk Music Festival and I miss it already. The audiences on Saturday and Sunday were just great - a big hi to everyone I met there. The musicians were too - a huge variety of artists, from Afro-folk Hip Hop to Americana and everything in-between. As well as playing our own sets, we were asked to team up with other artists on the bill, to either jam, do workshops, or play songwriter circles. I also got to share the stage with my good friend Jim White - we’d done an East Coast tour together before the pandemic lockdown, and this was the first time I’d seen him since.

I was also interviewed on a couple of radio shows: CKUA’s Traffic Jam morning show, hosted by Lisa Wilton, and CBC Radio Alberta’s Daybreak show, with Paul Karchut. Here’s the CBC show.
